Production designer
Clyde Klotz is an Emmy Award-winning production designer living and working in Vancouver, Canada. He "drew" inspiration for "SQUID RIDING BICYCLE" from his daughter, Piper Anderson Klotz's Octopus doodle recently auctioned to benefit the NfA, UK.
Clyde is a design graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada. He began his career in Toronto in the early 1980's working on music videos and TV commercials before moving back to Vancouver in 1985.
He has worked on numerous television productions including: The Hitch Hiker, 21 Jump Street and The X-Files as well as feature films.
In 1995, Clyde joined Mainframe Entertainment, a forerunner and pioneer of CGI animation production. Here, he worked on Reboot and production designed War Planets.
His work on the series Beast Wars garnered him a special jury Emmy Award in 1998 for best production design; the first of it's kind awarded for work in CGI animation.
Clyde has also received Genie, Gemini and Leo nominations for Magic in the Water, Don't Eat the Neighbors (Big Teeth, Bad Breath) and The Snow Queen.
His most recent production design credit is for the television series Flash Gordon.
