Chris Carter is best known as the creator of THE X-FILES.
In 1993, he started his own production company called Ten Thirteen Productions. Between 1993 and 2002 they produced: 201 episodes of THE X-FILES, 67 episodes of MILLENNIUM, 9 episodes of HARSH REALM, 13 episodes of THE LONE GUNMEN, and the feature films THE X-FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE (1998) and THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE (2008).
For his work on THE X-FILES, Chris has received three Golden Globe Awards (1994, 1996, 1997), a Writers Guild nomination, three Directors Guild nominations, and an Emmy Award nomination.
In March 2015, the FOX network confirmed that THE X-FILES is returning with a 6-episode event series. Filming will start this summer in Vancouver, Canada.
