Kim Delaney first became well-known for her stint as the innocent teenager Jenny Gardner Nelson on the soap opera All My Children, which she portrayed from 1981 to 1984.
She began acting in feature films after leaving All My Children. In 1986 she played a young nun in the military action movie The Delta Force starring Chuck Norris. Her film credits include The Drifter (1988), Rules of Engagement (1995), and Mission to Mars (2000).
Kim has played numerous roles on television such as Leslie Kleinberg in L.A. Law (1997), Alex Devlin in Tour of Duty (18 episodes, 1989-1990), Kathleen Maguire in Philly (22 episodes, 2001-2002), Megan Donner in CSI: Miami (10 episodes, 2002), Det. Diane Russell NYPD Blue (119 episodes, 1995-2003), Rebecca Bloom in The O.C., and Captain Julia Millfield in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Kim has been nominated for many acting awards and won an Emmy for her role in NYPD Blue (1997).
Currently, she plays Claudia Joy Holden in Lifetime TV's Army Wives, a series created by writer/executive producer Katherine Fugate. Army Wives is the number one show in the history of the Lifetime network and will receive a Gracie Award at the American Women in Radio & Television ceremony in New York on May 28. Gracie Awards recognize exemplary programming created by, produced for and about women, as well as individuals who have contributed to the industry.
Kim is also being honored by Fisher House, an organization that supports family members of military personnel, for her contributions in the community.
