David Duchovny is a television and film actor, writer, and director best known for his role as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files. In 1996 he won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Drama (TXF).
For his portrayal as Hank Moody, a troubled novelist in Showtime's series Californication, he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Comedy or Musical in 2007. Season 2 of Californication began filming in April 2008.
His films include Kalifornia, Playing God, Return to Me, Evolution, Zoolander, Connie and Carla, House of D (which he also wrote and directed), Trust the Man, The TV Set, and Things We Lost in the Fire.
The X-Files Movie #2 is scheduled to be released in July 25, 2008.
