Clark Gregg received his bachelor of fine arts degree from NYU where he trained with David Mamet and William H. Macy. With them, he co-founded New York's famed Atlantic Theater Company, serving as one of the company's first artistic directors.
He has appeared in numerous Broadway and Off Broadway productions and directed the acclaimed 1996 Off Broadway revival of Mamet's play, Edmond, and the New York and Los Angeles premieres of Distant Fires. He also created, co-wrote and directed the Los Angeles serialized play, The Big Empty.
On television, Clark played the recurring role of FBI liaison Agent Michael Casper on The West Wing. He has also appeared in The Shield, Will & Grace, Sport's Night, Sex and the City, The Practice, and the romantic comedy The Road to Christmas opposite his wife, Jennifer Grey.
His feature film work includes: In the Land of Women (2007), The Air That I Breathe (2007), When a Stranger Calls (2006), In Good Company (2004), 11:14 (2003), The Human Stain (2003), We Were Soldiers (2002), One Hour Photo (2002), Lovely and Amazing (2001), State and Main (2000), Magnolia (1999) and The Adventures of Sebastian Cole (1998) for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.
Clark has also written film scripts for Dreamworks, Universal, Fox and Warner Brothers. His movie Choke (2008) won a Special Jury Prize at this year's Sundance Film Festival and was bought by Fox Searchlight. He wrote the screenplay, directed and acted in this film.
