Mark Harmon's acting talent has earned him multiple Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations. He was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for The West Wing (2002) and before that for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Special for the movie Eleanor and Franklin: The White House Years (1977).
He received two consecutive Golden Globe nominations for his work in Reasonable Doubts (1992, 1993) and also received Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture Made for TV for After the Promise (1998) and for his role as serial killer Ted Bundy in The Deliberate Stranger (1987).
Along with his co-stars in Chicago Hope, on CBS, Mark received two SAG Award nominations for ensemble work (1997, 1998), and he also directed episodes of the series. His additional television credits include the mini-series From the Earth to the Moon, the CBS mini-series And Never Let Her Go, the movie Sweet Bird of Youth and the series St. Elsewhere and Moonlighting.
His feature film credits include Chasing Liberty (2004), Freaky Friday (2003), Stealing Home (1998), The Presidio (1998), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), The Last Supper (1995), Natural Born Killers (1994), Wyatt Earp (1994), Summer School (1987), and Comes a Horseman (1978).
On stage, he appeared in Key Exchange, Wrestlers, The Wager and several productions of Love Letters with his wife, actress Pam Dawber.
Since 2003, Mark has been starring as Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the CBS hit series NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
