Scarlett Johansson rose to fame with her role in The Horse Whisperer (1998). Her performance as Grace earned her a Hollywood Reporter Young Star award. She subsequently gained critical acclaim for her roles in Ghost World (2001), Lost in Translation (2003) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003), the latter two earning her Golden Globe Award nominations. She was also nominated for Best Actress for both films at the BAFTAs, and won Best Actress for Lost in Translation.
In 2005 she starred in Woody Allen's Match Point which led to her fourth Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
In 2007, she starred in The Nanny Diaries and this year, she played Mary Boleyn opposite Natalie Portman and Eric Bana in The Other Boleyn Girl. Coming up soon, her third Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

On May 20, 2008, Scarlett will debut as a vocalist on her first album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, which features ten songs written by Tom Waits and one original composition.
