Mark Snow
Mark Snow
Film and television composer
Mark Snow is a Juilliard-trained musician who is best known for his theme and scores for The X-Files and Millennium. He is probably the most prolific composer in television music and has been nominated for thirteen Emmy awards and won nineteen ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) awards.
His career has encompassed orchestral scoring, album production, classical performance, and five years as a co-founder of the legendary New York Rock N' Roll Ensemble.
His latest feature film score, which came out last year, was a collaboration with French director Alain Resnais on his romantic drama Private Fears in Public Places. It resulted in a César Award nomination for the composer.
And yes, that's The X-Files theme on his doodle.
