Humorous Illustrator
Joe Groshek says:
"I like to call myself the Best unknown Humorous Illustrator on the planet! *Humorous* being the operative word.
I began my art career at an early age creating bookmarks for kids in my class. When I was ten, I saw my first MAD magazine. I was completely enamored by the awesome art on these pages; I could not put them down. I was hooked! The works of Mort Drucker, Jack Davis, and Angelo Torres, just blew me away! I continued buying old and new issues of MAD and using them as references to my art, and before I knew it, I had the entire collection of MAD magazines, and today, I have one of the largest collections of MAD magazines and memorabilia in the country!
I now specialize in caricatures, greeting cards, editorial cartoons, and humorous illustrations. I have been illustrating the comic ads, and billboards for Wheel and Sprocket (the #1 bike retailer in America) since 1989, which can be seen on the front page of the Sunday Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel comic’s page, and all over Wisconsin. I have been very fortunate to do artwork for a large list of national and Fortune 500 companies, as well as local and statewide agencies."
