Rocky McIntosh emerged as the starting outside linebacker in his second NFL season. He finished the season as the second leading tackler (105 tackles) despite missing two games with a knee injury. McIntosh was placed on injured reserve after injuring his knee early in the first quarter in the Week 15 match up with the New York Giants (12/16). Additionally, he was recognized as the Redskins nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. The award recognizes a player for his community service activities as well as excellence on the field.
