Lizzy Caplan plays Casey Klein in the Starz original comedy series Party Down, a show about a group of struggling dreamers who are stuck working for tips while waiting for their big break.
In just a short time, Lizzy Caplan has built a burgeoning career with a diverse body of work. From her breakout role as Janis Ian in the hit Paramount feature film Mean Girls to her standout performance in the HBO series True Blood, her work has certainly reflected her versatility as an actress; easily transitioning from comedy to drama in both film and television.
Lizzy has an extensive list of film credits. In 2008, she starred in the J. J. Abrams hit film, Cloverfield, Lionsgate feature film My Best Friend's Girl and Crossing Over opposite Harrison Ford, Sean Penn and Ray Liotta.
Other film credits include the independent film Love Is The Drug, which premiered at the 2006 Slamdance Film Festival, the indie film Crashing, and the recently released comedy Hot Tub Time Machine.
Lizzy has worked with Mike Scully, Mike White, Seth MacFarlane, and Judd Apatow on a number of television projects. She starred in the CBS comedy series, The Class. For that role, she received critical acclaim being named as one of the "10 Actors to Watch" by Daily Variety, "So Five Minutes From Now" by Entertainment Weekly and the "Fresh Face of Fall" by TV's The Insider. Prior to The Class, Lizzy starred in Marta the WB series, Related, Fox’s Tru Calling, and Undeclared, and NBC's Freaks and Geeks.
