The Sarah Silverman Program
Sarah Silverman made her comedy debut as a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live when she was 19 and has since been a frequent guest on numerous television programs such as Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Late Show with David Letterman.
Sarah is the co-creator and star of Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Program. She starred in the feature-length film version of her one-woman show Jesus Is Magic. She won an Emmy in 2008 for her video I'm F***ing Matt Damon, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on The Sarah Silverman Program.
She appeared in the hit 2003 Jack Black movie School of Rock (she was Black's roommate's snitty girlfriend), the FOX show Greg the Bunny and the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show. She played a comedy writer on Garry Shandling's HBO tour de force The Larry Sanders Show and she was Kramer's girlfriend Emily on a couple of Seinfeld episodes in 1997. On Comedy Central's Crank Yankers -- which features puppets acting out crank phone calls -- she played the voice of Hadassah Guberman. Between 2004-2008, she appeared as Marci Maven in three episodes of USA Network's Monk.
Sarah grew up in New Hampshire and now lives in Los Angeles (by way of her beloved New York City) with her dog, Duck.
Her memoir The Bedwetter will be released on April 20, 2010.
