Wally Holmes is the sole writer of the 1974 hit Rock The Boat. He also produced the recording for The Hues Corporation who he manages to this day.

Songwriting and production have only been one part of his multi-faceted career. An engaging performer on trumpet, vocals, song flute and his own form of solfeggio scatting, he has thrilled audiences all over the USA.

Wally is also a founding member of the Sweet & Hot Festival All Stars and leads his own band, the Yankee Wailers.
