Liz Tigelaar writes both television dramas and young adult novels.
She grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended high school in Guilford, Connecticut before earning her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College. She got her start right out of college as an assistant on Dawson’s Creek and ended up assisting and being mentored by Winnie Holzman, while working on Once & Again and Wicked.
Liz got her first staffing job on American Dreams, a 60s family drama, and she went on to write for television shows such as What about Brian, Dirty Sexy Money, and Brothers and Sisters.
She’s also written numerous young adult novels, including a series called Pretty Tough.
Liz created the television series Life Unexpected which ran on the CW Network for 25 episodes between 2010-2011.
In June 2011, her development deal with ABC Studios begins and she's already got some amazing new stuff in mind.
