Fine Artist: Ms. B The Doodle Queen
As a proud member of the Harlem Arts Alliance, I have gained attention from local and international curators who support my kinetic doodle art story in group and solo art exhibitions. Comprising of many organic images, lines, and shapes similar to the artistic works of CY Twombly or Dorothea Rockburne. My spirited imagery shares a colorful intrusion to suggest simple harmonic gestures to support a structure of integrity and understanding of one another to resolve peaceful solutions.
In 2010, my Bermuda Art Residency at Prince Charles Masterworks Museum defined my art work process to become a workshop called "Doodle to Dabeat". On March 2012, my mixed media work, along with this workshop, premiered in Barbados during a Latin America & Caribbean Group Art Exhibition. Patients at Lincoln Hospital are happy to "Doodle to Dabeat" too.
As a recipient of the Manhattan Community Arts Fund Grant for 2012, the power of doodling is spreading to two Harlem summer outdoor family events: Harlem's Sundae Sermon and at the Harlem Week Children's Pavillion.
To be a part of National Doodle Day is an honor.
