Stacey Oristano is best known for her role as Mindy Collette Riggins in the critically acclaimed television series FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and is currently starring on ABC Family's BUNHEADS as Truly Stone, the unhinged Sparkles clothing boutique owner and close friend to Fanny & Michelle.
Oristano began acting on the stage at five years old. “I was sitting backstage while my dad was performing at a show," she says. "I was watching the dancers in their beautiful costumes, they were laughing and having so much fun. I told my dad right then, that is what I wanted to do. I was six at the time, and I have pursued my dreams fully ever since."
Driven by the thrill of a live audience, she pursued a career in theater attending The Rose Bruford School for Speech and Drama in London, where she received her BFA in Acting with an emphasis on Classical Theatre. While in London, she performed in numerous plays, including working in The West End playing Annelle in STEEL MAGNOLIAS.
Upon returning to the USA, Oristano began working in television and voiceover. Her first television booking was for Comedy Central, on the series THE CHAPPELLE SHOW. She has also guest starred on CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, CRIMINAL MINDS, and IN PLAIN SIGHT.
She has excelled in the voiceover industry as well, and her voice has been heard on many children’s audio books, numerous cartoon shows, as well as commercials for companies such as Nationwide and Pepsi.
An accomplished singer, she has performed with a number of symphonies in New York, London, and Dallas and she plays the guitar and piano.
Oristano also provides her support and talent to various charities, including The Matthew Shepard Foundation and numerous women’s shelters.
