Mike Peraza is an award winning designer with over 30 years of experience creating magic for The Walt Disney Studios along with Warner Brothers, MGM, Lucasfilm and Don Bluth Studios.
From his early days creating concepts to working as the Art Director for Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, his amazing talents have shaped the animation world and helped to usher in the fabled Disney Renaissance.
While working for The Walt Disney Studios, he helped to shape numerous animated features for film, TV, and games including projects such as: FOX AND THE HOUND, MICKEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL, THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE, DUCKTALES, TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE, THE LITTLE MERMAID, and THE JUNGLE BOOK 2.
Disney lent Mike out to Steven Spielberg and Bob Zemekis for WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT in the morning and he would return to Disney in the afternoon to continue to develop new projects for them. In addition, Mike worked on projects for Warner Brothers, Don Bluth, and Sony including DRAGON'S LAIR, SPACE ACE, THUMBELINA, STUART LITTLE, ICE AGE and art directed Fox´s ANASTASIA. During Mike’s stay at Warner Brothers he had the honor of working with Chuck Jones on a Bugs Bunny compilation and directing the UMPTEE series.
He also designs for the Walt Disney Imagineering division which creates attractions and limited edition artwork for all the Disney Parks around the world. His most recent assignment included the fabulous CARS LAND and the New Fantasyland.
Along with his wife, Patty, and daughter, Kimberly, Mike donates a considerable amount of time to youth groups aimed at helping troubled kids get a second chance. He also spends much of his time helping to raise awareness for Epilepsy and hopes that, one day, his contributions will help facilitate a cure for this debilitating illness.
