A Haunted House, See Dad Run, Californication
From THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE to LEGALLY BLONDE to HUNG to a memorable guest role on IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, Alanna Ubach has created a ton of very distinct roles through the years – while also building an impressive career doing voice work in animated series like THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (as Liz Allan), POUND PUPPIES, and RANGO.
This year, Ubach has three very different roles: She is an on-screen mom for the first time ever in SEE DAD RUN, a family sitcom on Nick at Nite with Scott Baio (picked up for a 2nd season). She had a recurring role as a strangely seductive rock widow who pursues David Duchovny in Showtime's CALIFORNICATION. And she portrayed Marlon Wayans' obsessive swinger/next door neighbor in the Wayans brothers' A HAUNTED HOUSE, the hit feature film that parodies PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
These performances come on the heels of Ubach's longtime role on HBO's HUNG as Thomas Jane's sexy and bossy Israeli neighbor Yael Koontz and on MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, as Ray Romano's love interest. Not to mention playing Isabel, the sexy older maid and first love of a young Ben Stiller in MEET THE FOCKERS. She was also Reese Witherspoon's cheerleader/sorority sister/best friend in both LEGALLY BLONDE films, starred in Off Broadway plays and one woman shows she wrote herself and starred in films ranging from Sundance indies to studio musical comedies. She's well-rounded and fearless in her diverse choices. If you can't place Ubach, it's because she's successfully disguised herself in her characters.
