X-Files (Revelations: Owen Lee Jarvis), The Hills Have Eyes
Michael Berryman began his acting career in Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze (1975) when producer George Pal wandered into his little California flower shop and ask him "if he wouldn't mind being his undertaker." Later the same year, Berryman realized he fell into an acting career when he was hired for the role of "Ellis", the mental patient, in Milos Forman's One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1976). In 1977 he took the role every horror movie fan knows and loves him for when he signed on to play "Pluto", one of the desert dwelling cannibal clan members in Wes Craven's classic, The Hills Have Eyes.
Over the years, Berryman has worked with Craven on a number of films, including Deadly Blessing (1981) also notable as Sharon Stone's first feature film role, The Hills Have Eyes 2 (1984) and Invitation to Hell (1985).
Ruggero Deodato, Italian director of the infamous Cannibal Holocaust took notice of Berryman and used him in several of his own films over the years, including Cut and Run (1985), The Barbarians (1987) and his Oceano TV mini-series in 1990.
He has also worked for cult director Fred Olen Ray in Armed Response (1986) and Wizards of the Demon Sword (1988), showed up in John Hughes Weird Science (1985), found himself in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986), and appeared in other Wasteland favorites like The Fifth Floor (1978), Aftershock (1990), Beastmaster 2 (1991), The Guyver (1991), Teenage Exorcist (1991), The Devil’s Rejects (2005), and The Lords of Salem (2012) to name but a few.
He has also appeared in memorable episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Tales From the Crypt, and The X-Files to name but a trio of his television appearances.
More recent film credits include Below Zero (2011) opposite Edward Furlong, The Lords of Salem (2012), and Self Storage (2013) with Eric Roberts and Jonathan Silverman.
