Fine Artist

Born in Santiago, Chile, Ms. Petit Caplan began to travel extensively at the age of 17 while living in Madrid, Spain and presently, in New York, USA.

Her classical artistic training, multicultural exposure and Decorative Textile experience harmoniously blend in the broad spectrum of mediums and in the dynamic layers of her work, which ranges from Representational/Realist to Multi-media Abstract Contemporary.

After many years of international training in Universities in Chile, Spain and the USA, and enjoying a very successful career in Decorative Textiles, Ms. Petit Caplan began to focus on her fine art, producing work of skilled clarity and complexity that reflect her experience.

Ms. Petit Caplan has exhibited in the Chelsea Art District, in New York City, to nearly sell out success. Most recently, in conjunction with her solo exhibition in June 2010, The New York Times selected her work as the only image to publish with their Sunday listings.

Her work is in numerous private collections and can be seen at Flat Iron Gallery in Peekskill NY, Nassau County Museum in NY, and The DIB Gallery in Chelsea, NYC.
