Samuel Taylor is an actor based in Chicago. A frequent collaborator with the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, he has appeared in Henry VIII, Julius Caesar, The School for Lies, Timon of Athens and The Feast: an intimate Tempest. His other Chicago theater credits include: Lookingglass Alice at Lookingglass Theatre Company; Hot L Baltimore at Steppenwolf Theatre Company; and Hunchback at Redmoon Theater. His Off Broadway theater credits include Henry V and The Spy. He has also appeared in The Boys Next Door at Syracuse Stage and Proclivities at the Guthrie Theater.
His television credits include BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO) and THE MOB DOCTOR (FOX). On television in 2014, he plays American Soldier Thayer in NBC's series CRISIS, a conspiracy thriller starring Gillian Anderson, Dermot Mulroney, Rachael Taylor, Lance Gross, and REVENGE alum Max Martini as the villain.
Samuel holds a BFA from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training Program. He is also a founding member of the Back Room Shakespeare Project.
