Elena Casagrande

Comic Artist: X-Files, Suicide Risk, Doctor Who, Angel

After she attended High School, Elena Casagrande decided to follow her main passion, drawing, at the International School of Comics in Rome. There, she became her teacher David Messina's assistant and started to work with IDW Publishing.

Since then, her collaboration with IDW continues, working on multiple comic books series such as Star Trek (Klingons: Blood Will Tell, Orions, Q, Spock: Reflections), Ghost Whisperer (The Haunted), Angel (Auld Lang Syne, Doyle, Smiletime, A Hole in the World, Illyria: Haunted and 6° Season), Infestation, True Blood (The French Quarter), Doctor Who (Prisoners of Time) and X-Files (Issues #6 and #7 of Season 10).

In the USA she works for Marvel drawing characters such as Spiderman (Marvel Heartbreakers – A Chemical Romance, Ultimate Spiderman #157), Magik (variant cover New Mutant #4), Spitfire (Women in Marvel) and RedHulk (Hulk) and for Image Comics too on the Hack/Slash comic-book series.

She's now the artist of the new Mike Carey series, Suicide Risk for Boom! Studios and of the new Doctor Who comic book series by Titan Comics, about the 10th Doctor.

She's a member of Truckers Studio, an art collective of 7 women who work in the world of comics, illustration and graphic design.
