Georgie Hopton
Artist
The image shows the front and back (signed) of the card.
Influenced by the still lifes of Morandi and Picasso, Georgie Hopton photographs, paints and sculpts flowers and fruit that she has grown, often including self-portraits in her work.
A graduate of St Martin’s School of Art, London (1989), she is interested in instilling her pieces with pathos and hope, creating a duality that is relevant to life and the making of art.
Georgie has exhibited at The Drawing Center, New York, USA; Carl Freedman Gallery, London and Milton Keynes Gallery, UK.
She is married to artist Gary Hume. The couple divide their time between London and a small farm in the Catskills in upstate New York where they spend summers tending the vegetable garden and making maple syrup.
