Skins (UK), A Single Man, Clash of the Titans, About a Boy
Since making his name in the 2002 blockbuster About a Boy, Nicholas Hoult has gone on to work in a variety of film and television roles. His film highlights include Kidulthood, Richard E. Grant's Wah-Wah, The Weather Man with Nicholas Cage and Michael Caine, A Single Man with Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, and Clash of the Titans alongside Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson.
For his performance in A Single Man, Nicholas was nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award.
His television credits include: BBC's Wallande, Waking the Dead, and Silent Witness; Coming Down the Mountain; and Paramount/Fox TV's Keen Eddie.
He became a star in his own right at 17 through his portrayal of heartless heartthrob Tony Stonem in the hit series Skins (2007-08) for Channel 4 UK. Full of callous swagger and vulnerability, this was the show's standout performance.
In 2008 Nicholas made his London West End debut in the lead role of Barry in New Boy at the Trafalgar Studios to outstanding reviews.
He has landed the lead in Warm Bodies, the Summit Entertainment adaptation of the Isaac Marion novel. He will play an existentially tormented zombie who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one his victims. Shooting starts late summer, after he completes Jack the Giant Killer for director Bryan Singer at New Line.
Nicholas will next be seen playing the role of Beast in X-Men: First Class coming out in June through 20th Century Fox. He will also star in Fury Road, the George Miller-directed prequel to the Mad Max films. This one will film next year, with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron also starring.
